Water has long been the most studied substance. However, it is frequently considered only as a liquid suitable for quenching thirst. And when it comes to hydrotherapy, then, in most cases, it implies the drinking mineral water or water procedures at a balneological resort.

Nevertheless, water is a basic staple. In fact, we use it not only to quench our thirst, but also for cooking and making drinks. There is a certain amount of water every product. And besides, delivering the necessary substances it “nourishes” the cells of our body, that is, it is engaged in every metabolic processes. So water has an explicit impact on our health. And even with certain indicators, it helps to fight various ailments. And under particular indicators, it assists efforts to fight various diseases.

Therefore, in order to keep healthy or restore the health, you don’t need to travel to a health resort. Hydrotherapy can be practiced at home, at work or on a trip. Its main component is water, free from impurities, microbes and preserving agents. It possesses physical properties which are right for you taking into account individual characteristics and needs.

Why the purified water only possesses certain curative powers? It is so, because the aforementioned water only might effectively dissolve nutrients and mineral substances which the body receives along with food, and “deliver” them to all systems and cells, thus avoiding additional load on human organs. I can also safely remove waste products and toxins out of the body.

What physical properties should healing water have?

  • First of all, its oxidation-reduction potential should approximate with the greatest possible degree to the respective oxidation-reduction potential of blood. That is, it should have negative charge. In this case, it has antioxidant properties, and can revive the damaged cells of our body.
  • Secondly, pH of water should correspond to our needs and health features and health condition. Thus, in case of a headache caused by stress, weather sensitivity or increased blood pressure, the use of alkaline water is recommended. If a headache is caused by unhealthy diet, then acidic water is recommended.
  • Thirdly, water should have such a composition of micro and macro elements that it could satisfy the needs of your body. For instance, it is better for children to drink water that contains a smaller amount of micro and macro elements.

Thus, using water of various temperatures, composition, pH and oxidation-reduction potential according to a certain schedule (before or after meals, between meals, before sleeping, etc.), it is possible to regulate the digestive system thereby improving the activity of the liver, kidneys, skin and other organs. Hydrotherapy also includes localized application (fomentation, baths, etc.).

However, it is worth noticing that in each case the abovementioned therapy should be supported by a respective change in a diet, lifestyle and, if possible, complemented by some procedures or special exercises. Consequently, the treatment should be integrated and comprehensive. Hence, water therapy is one of the core components of the unique self-medication system “VIKEY”.
